Hand pressed onto moulds made from found rocks, I retain the organic shape and texture from the original stone. A small lip is formed to allow a spoon to rest in the dish. 
 
The spoon rest is hand painted in blue, pale pink and yellow. These colours are chosen as they remind me of Spring/ Summer seaside visits and tartan blanket pic-nics. The term "plaid" comes from the Gaelic "plaide", meaning blanket.
 
The colours are covered in a glossy glaze. 
 
Each piece will vary slightly in shape and where glaze is applied, making each one of a kind.
